International Women’s Day: Women’s Health Matters

March 8, 2022 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

On 23 December 2021, the Department for Health and Social Care launched the first ever women’s health vision because for generations, women have lived with a health and care system that is mostly designed by men, for men. The webinar will consider why this ‘male by default’ is a huge problem for all women and seek solutions. How do we put it right and what needs to happen to build equity?

We are delighted to announce our keynote speakers.

Dr Elinor Cleghorn is a medical historian and author of Unwell Women. Unwell Women has been described as one of the most important books of a generation and an essential tome for any woman who has ever been misdiagnosed, disbelieved, or discriminated against.

The Women’s Budget Group is a is independent and not-for-profit membership network consisting of women’s voluntary organisations, academics and policy expert whose aims are to promote a gender equal economy.
